The first miscellany
When you have some unrelated, short things to mention on your blog, what do you do?
In the spirit of the Googlewhack, I answer the question “Is there anything good on TV this evening?”. The answer you are looking for is no.
I’m flattered to find that someone found this site searching for the phrase “thinking man’s disco”, but am somewhat amused by other recent search terms:
- driving away from home 30 miles or more 80s hit lyrics
- drugs – ecstacy – history
- why the british like the scandinavians
- Martin Halstead
And finally, following Julie’s comments about being saved by our theology, I bring news that the Rapture has taken place.

Hello…You might be amused that your website was searched with the phrase Masrtin Halstead..and I don’t blame the poor souls like me who are desperately trying to access Martin Halstead for an interview. You guessed it…I am a journalist, who has spent several days trying to figure out a way to contact Martin Halstead. Checking all the way from India can be a bit of a problem…so could you help? would you have an email ID I could write to him to request a telecon interview? By the way, this is one snazzy blog you have out here…good going!

But wasn’t Halstead’s dream airline, Alpha One Airways, just one big scam? He never had a plane, fooled a lot of folk, then disappeared. Only to turn up a few months later, claiming he’d raise a million quid for charity by driving around the world – which, predictably, he didn’t ever do. Teenage folly perhaps, but can the man ever be trusted? Some will have their doubts.

I’m sorry, I do not want this kind of discussion taking place this website.
