Mechanical revelation!

On Tuesday I figured out why my bike doesn’t change gear sometimes. Apparently you have to pedal slower as you change to let the chain go smoothly across. I get the feeling this should have been obvious.

Also, when switching up on the big rings HOLD DOWN the shifter till it changes. That’s if you have thumb shifters anyway.

Yes, hence why I figured it out shortly after learning how to change gear in a car. I feel just a little bit stupid that it took the driving lesson to teach me about my bike, though.
