And for the first time in absolutely ages, I’m all alone in my house.
Immediately, I feel lonely.

Mr E
I could hear that there were lots of people around at your house earlier. I heard you through the window.

Mm, I’ve been throwing parties while my parents are away. They’re all over now, *sniff*

I was all alone in your house for a while. I (ab)used your broadband connection to spend 13 hours online. I also made pasta and soup.
Learn from my example, young padawan.

There was no cider involved, however there was a lot of cider present (about nine litres of it) for some unknown reason. My parents have been keeping it there for the past couple of years (at least it seems that long).

Rory, why were you alone in Matthew’s house for so long.

The weekend Rory chose to visit happened to be the weekend we were visiting relatives…

‘Home alone’-ness is just the bestest. I turn up Nine Inch Nails nice and loudly and make pancakes at 2am.

Not with my neighbours, you wouldn’t. (Or indeed my CD collection…)
It’s nice being alone after your family leave (for a time – I’m far too extroverted to like it for long) but when you’ve been surrounded by friends for the past a hundred hours or so, it affects you sooner.
