Biggest mistakes George Lucas has made
- Jar Jar Binks
- The Ewoks
- The dialogue in the scenes between Anakin and Padme
- Padme dying of a broken heart
- Choosing to direct the prequels himself

What about appearing on ‘The OC’?

He appeared in the OC? How odd.
I stick by my Ewok statement.

Ewoks were a mistake. Bigger mistake than Padme dying (Continuity? What’s that?), choosing to direct (and write) the prequels himself and that abysmal dialogue though?

They followed on nicely from Jar Jar, I thought. The order is only approximate (though Jar Jar is of course in the right place).

Ah, I liked the Ewoks. I thought they fit in quite well with the Redwoods. Big trees, little creatures.
(Just vacationed on the forest moon of Endor. I’m amazed all over again at just how big those trees are.)

No Ewoks would have meant no Ewoks cartoon! “We’re the Ewoks falalalala falalalalala living in the forest falalalalala on the moon of Endor falalalalala we’re having fun. Friends together, friends forever. EWOKS. We’re the Ewoks YEAH (Beechawawa?).” Gotta love the Ewoks cartoon! Never seen the films though, ofc.

I can assure you that they are superior by far to the cartoon.
Never seen the cartoon though, ofc.

Well, they did say something about there being nothing wrong with her, the birth went fine, and she just happened to be dying.

Ewoks may be cute, but what place does cute have intercut with the lords of the Sith and the only Jedi?

It was all about the little, unsophisticated people overcoming the big, evil stormtroopers with their big lasers, wasn’t it?

Since you don’t see much of the Empire’s effects on civilisations they decided to show what happened with the people of the planet that the plot just happened to be on at that point.

The Emnpire hadn’t affected the Ewoks at all – it was only the interference of the Rebels that affected them.

But it’s fun to watch a big, expensive AT-ST get destroyed by a log on a rope!
