Three As

So general studies doesn’t count – but I got back the results of a remark today, and my B grade in music was a mistake. Two proper As and a B – but if I don’t mention it’s general studies that’s three As!

Verity

Excellent. In the general scheme of things I think General Studies counts, as much as any other A level anyway (which is not at all, obviously).

Mr E

General Studies possibly counts for something, but I don’t think it’s worth as much as other A-levels, and most British universities seem to agree with me.

I beat you anyway, so I don’t care :p.

Music was a mistake? How many more marks did you get? Did anyone else get their exams remarked?

The Green-eyed Tuna Fish

Yes, I got physics and biology remarked. I was pretty close to the boundaries anyway so they probably just decided to be nice to me.

General studies is a waste of time, but fun. You get to make speeches about jelly beans.

Matthew

I didn’t go to any of the lessons, so I wouldn’t know.

Mr E: I went up by seventeen marks in just one unit, taking me from a very high B to a reasonably comfortable A. To go up so much suggests an error the first time.
