Things you don't want to hear when you have a bad cold
- “Sorry, we’re out of paracetamol.”
- (On a TV show) “Oh no, their blocked nose is stopping them from breathing properly – quick! do a tracheotomy!”
- “Nope, no ibuprofen either.”
- “You missed a fantastic party last night.”
- “Don’t talk rubbish, you’re fine!”

The last one was said by a girl wasn’t it?

You’re a rather ill person Matthew. Consider eating more vegetables to improve your immune system.
Last time I was ill I treated myself with a little rest, some herbal teas, and fruit. It worked for me.

I eat far fewer vegetables than Matthew and yet he always gets iller.

I eat lots of vegetables, Rory, but thanks for your concern for my health. I will eat more fruit once my braces come off, too.
As to herbal tea… eurgh.
All the quotes could have been said by girls… the last one, funnily enough, was actually a boy. I’d not quite yet recovered and was then forced to sprint for four hundred metres keeping up with him in the cold air.

Herbal teas = teh win
Just try it. A little camomile, with some honey and lemon. Then move onto the harder stuff – green tea, ginseng, yerba mate, white tea, lapsang…

Green tea isn’t herbal tea, surely? It’s just tea tea.

Yeah, I know, but Matthew probably doesn’t like it… :-p

Very off topic!
I doubt something that is in the Southwest Michigan area would be much use to anyone here; nearly everyone who reads or posts on this site is based in the UK. Out of interest, how did you find this site and why did you post that here?

TECHNICALLY ALL TEA IS HERBAL. THANK YOU. THAT IS ALL.

“Spam comment” is the word. Words. Are the words.

Yes. Some very pretty pictures, though I don’t think I’d take a nine hour flight to see the originals. (That was an approximate guess for some of the more pedantic people here.)
And Lipton’s instant iced tea isn’t. I don’t know what sort of chemicals they put in that stuff, but if it transforms my friend’s docile cat into a demented spitting fiend…

Mr E, what on earth are you talking about?
I dislike all tea – and I’ve tried honey and ginger incidently, and while it smelt alright, it tasted worse than normal tea (and that’s saying something in my opinion).

Oh, I get it – I was too quick for myself and deleted the spam message assuming it was on an old entry.

Normal tea is nice (as long as there’s no sugar), but I don’t much like other sorts. That might just be because I’m not very used to them, though.
Matt, for a second I thought you had intentionally deleted the spam post and posted that to make me think I was imagining things. (For anyone who didn’t see it, there was a random post advertising an art exhibition in Southwest Michigan.)

I am intrigued as to whether it was actually a bot. I assume it was, but they never usually hit the latest entries…
