An end to overtime

After today, life becomes sane again! (Possibly.) Next week a new manager and a new sales assistant start at the camera shop, so I can go back to my original hours. Suddenly, I will have time on my hands. This is good news for everything but my bank balance.

The extra time created will now be taken up with:

I leave school, get a year off from study before university, and what do I do?

Mr E

What are you using to teach yourself physics? A-level text books? What level are you aiming for?

I have an A level text book I’m working through. Currently I’m just doing basic mechanics. My problem is I’ve forgotten a lot of the GCSE stuff, and we no longer have GCSE text books around. I’d use Wikipedia, but a supposedly simple subject like series and parallel circuits contains all the inductors and capacitors I don’t know about yet and am trying to refresh my memory of the simple stuff before moving onto them.

Given that last sentence I think I should start teaching myself English also.

Tuna of Certainty

What happened to the biology textbook?

I’ve seen the syllabus, and it looks horrible. For both of those sciences, in fact.

You’ll never be able to stop studying. Just give in to it… besides, gap years are supposed to be spent ‘constructively’. :)

The biology textbook is still around – physics is more useful to me though, so I’m starting there. I didn’t take physics or biology because of the syllabus – I think I probably regret it. Should have taken them instead of music tech and English.
