Audience of One

Accomplishments

Yesterday, I:

• played a Stuart Townend/Keith Getty hymn on a Rhodes electric piano
• had three doughnuts for breakfast through necessity
• composed my first piece of music for harp, mandolin and guitar
• stole all the pint glasses from the bar without the barman noticing¹
• poured myself some cider from the wrong side of the bar, again without the barman noticing²
• decided wine can actually be quite nice
• discovered another Mighty Boosh fan, in my block, no less
• got one of the hall CU leaders to suggest to another that we should do an evening of hall CU speed dating

1. I would have given them back eventually, but one of the hall tutors found them before the barman noticed. He gave them back, and then it was noticed, as when the barman reached to get a cup he found them stacked a metre high on the bar top.
2. I should probably add that the barman is a friend of mine and that he’d asked me earlier to entertain him. I thought I’d oblige. Oh, and I did actually pay for it.
