Audience of One is the weblog of Matthew Weston, a UK student, Christian, technophile and musician.

The History of Audience of One

I started blogging in October 2001. What I wrote was boring, detailed and entirely in pseudo-text-speak. I got bored by December.

My next venture into the world of blogging (the self-titled Matt's Diary) was slightly more long-lived, starting in February 2003. I've been blogging ever since (though there have been long periods with no regularity).

Audience of One was originally Matt's Diary 2 – a simple redesign. The concept grew into a completely new site, with the central blog remaining.

Audience of One, as a name, came into being around October 2003; the domain name was registered shortly afterwards. What you see before you design-wise has been in progress from about January 2004 until January 2005, when it was finally finalised.

I've put up a few pages of historical interest at wayback.audienceofone.org.uk, including the original Matt's Diary, the filler page for audienceofone.org.uk and the original design.
